AIA Purches PanAm Rights

Today, Aleksania International Airlines CEO Boris Vasiliev announced that AIA had closed a deal to purchase the rights to the name PanAm, and all associated logos and rights, from Pan Am Systems (formerly Guilford Transportation Industries). The reason for the purchase has not been reveled, but it is suspected that it is for a North American offshoot of AIA.

Oh? hmk :suspect: Never saw any PanAm planes in airports, I though the company wasn't existing today? Only saw it in the movie: "Catch me if you can" and in New York City, PanAm building... So, only the rights of name and logo? :GG:

Yah, back in 2003 they tried to start it up again, but they did not succeed, now its actually own by a rail road company (RW; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guilford_Transportation_Industries)

Well, I want to see what you can do with an iconic airline name. I always associate the airline with "Come Fly with Me."

Pan Am (the classic one) used to have round-the-world services. Are you planning on that?

Pan Am was in the early 50's the biggest and lonely airline in the US that deserve the International. You guys watched: "Catch me if You can"?
