Tirnreich at War

As many of you know, the Tirnreich is involved in an ongoing effort to flush out a terrorist (and communist) organization responsible for the bombing of apartment buildings in Nord Park, Tirnreich, as well as shootings and other acts of terrorism around that time. This terror group is known as the Global Red Army, or GRA.

It has been confirmed that these terrorists had plans to terrorize Aleksania by using nuclear material.

GRA camps have been cracked down on in the Czech Republic, where the Tirnreich has cooperated with Czech Spec Ops in order to take down the militants. However, the largest concentration of GRA militants is is Acijnstan, a small communist dictatorship occupying former southeast Yemen. The government of Acijnstan has not taken any action nor initiative towards the terrorists. In a desperate attempt to stop the GRA while they're still in line of sight, the Tirnreich launched bombing raids against various GRA camps in the country.

Acijnstani officials did not like this action, and told the Tirnlanders to back off. After a second land assault, Acijnstani troops attacked the Tirnlander Strike Base at Sinaj, Saudi Arabia, and acted as an ultimatum; back off or prepare for war. Tirnlander ISARS commandos successfully destroyed a camp in the border city of Tijabal, but sparked both war and controversy after the attack injured nearly 25 civilians. The Emir (dictator) of Acijnstan declared war on the Tirnreich. Some 3 days later, the Tirnreich declared war on Acijnstan, stating that Acijnstani ineffectiveness in counterterrorism and communist ideologies help terror groups flourish, and the Imperial Military is determined in stopping the GRA.

President Edward Pitt and the Illu'a Parliament have authorized sending medical and humanitarian aid to assist the war effort.

The Illu'a army isn't that big. I'm not sure if I can send combat troops.

Arcacia has no military and we are neutral in all conflicts, but we are able to help with medical supplies, doctors, nurses and humanitarian aid.

With Parliamentary approval, HM King Zachary of Lower Columbia offers the Tirnreich logistical support in this conflict, with the possibility of committing combat forces if the need arises.

After heated debate in both Parliament and within the military ranks, Corraile has formally decided to deploy 2000 troops to aid Tirnreich in the Joint Military Coalition force.

We will however, provide humanitarian aid to both sides through the Holidian Red Cross and Peacekeeping forces. Here's this week's image updates on the Tirnlander-Acijnstani War:

Today, just minutes after the Republic of Aleksania declared war on Acijnstan, three Aleksanian Air Force Tupolev Tu-170 Heavy Bombers droped bombs on targets throughout the country. Shortly folowing this, Aleksanian F-15s flying out of Tirnreich droped bombs on stratigic targets. Finnaly, three more Tu-170s carpet bombed the capital city of Acijnstan, Krijia. Some have said this is a violation of the Genevia Convention, but the Aleksanian government defends it's action saying that in a communist system, all buisness are owned by the government, thus makeing all civilans govenment workers.

Tirnlander Officials React to International Combat Aid
SINAJ, Saudi Arabia- Field Marshal Johann Strassekind, the field commander at Sinaj, assembled his PR committee and relayed his reactions to the press.

On Petrovan news agencies' photography:

"Both myself, the Minister of Defense, Minister of Media, and the Emperor are happy with the dedication of the Petrovan photojournalists and their striving to get the best pictures possible, even in such a dangerous and stressful situation, even to go so far as to hide in a bush in front of an oncoming Acijnstani tank! We all hope that these brave journalists can keep on doing the quality work they have already done."

On Ollingdale Air Support:

"As Imperial Military commander of the Tirnlander forces in Acijnstan, I can say that the OAF strikes and presence are welcome, as they provide an enhanced level of defense for the JMC-A camp near Sinaj."

On Aleksanian Air Strikes

"Under the Geneva Convention, it states that if a military force (signatory or not) willfully kills, seriously injures, or causes harm to a person whom is protected by the convention (which Acijnstan and Tirnreich are), that force commits a grave breach of the Geneva Convention.[1] Also, Article 53 denotes 'the destruction by the [military force] of real or personal property belonging individually or collectively to private persons, or to the State, or to other public authorities, or to social or cooperative organizations, is prohibited, except where such destruction is rendered absolutely necessary by military operations.' [2] Aleksania is subject to, and guilty of, both these laws and punishments. (respectively)

On another accord, Aleksania must answer to the Tirnlander military officials, as Aleksanian fighters were flying illegally in Tirnlander airspace, during a military mobilization, which is a high crime in the Empire. On top of this, Aleksania was not authorized to bomb the capital, nor any other city in Acijnstan, as they did not join the Joint Military Coalition-Acijnstan group, so they were not authorized to attack the targets, especially the capital, without consent of Tirnlander officials.

Those strikes carried out by the AAF were reckless and spontaneous, with airstrikes causing irreparable damage to residential and commercial complexes, civil infrastructure buildings, and agricultural communes; none of whom were tactical/strategic targets. Demonstrating the recklessness of the AAF Krijia airstrikes are the casualties suffered by coalition forces operating as friendly combatants and humanitarian aid workers. 29 Tirnlander soldiers, 18 Corraileian soldiers, and 5 Aracian humanitarian aid workers were killed in the strikes. More friendlies and more non-combatants and civilians were injured in the strikes."

SINAJ, Saudi Arabia- FM Strassekind, the Tirnlander head of the JMC-A forces in Acijnstan, has called for a Skype meeting of all combatant and security donating nations. This meeting will lay down the ground rules for further incursions and reports into and about (resp.) Acijnstan. The following nations are deisgnated CSDN's:

Imperial Ministries to Review Aleksanian AF Training and Lodging in Tirnreich
HEKLI, Tirnreich- With recent events in Acijnstan casting a negative light for AAF forces operating from Tirnreich and in Acijnstan, the Defense and Justice Ministries will be reviewing Aleksanian presence in Hekli, where a squadron is currently stationed. Stating that they do not want an inter-union conflict, Defense Minister Lutz suggests that the AAF finish the training courses they are teaching to the IAC, and then vacate the Southeast Hekli Barracks. If the AAF forces are voted out immediately, it will cut short the training program by about 2 months. The Imperial Council meeting this week will discuss the options.

Tirnreich Increases Troop Presence in Acijnstan
SINAJ, Saudi Arabia- The current troop force in Acijnstan will be increased, from 8,500 to 10,000. The Ministry of Defense has increased the troop count in order to make the JMC-A force more efficient in taking down the Acijnstani military. The composition will include 500 more ISARS commandos, and 1,000 more TDF soldiers.

Lanaya Joins JMC-A Force
NACHTSBURG, Tirnreich- In a teleconference call to the Foreign Relations Minister of Lanaya, the Tirnreich accepted Lanayan support for the escort mission to retrieve the rightful Emir of Acijnstan. The north Atlantic country will lend a C130 Hercules and two A-10 air superiority jets for the escort of the Acijnstani Royal Family from Delhi, India, to a holding area in an undisclosed location.

The operation will commence as soon as the outcome of operations in Acijnstan is clear.

JMC-A Forces Suffer Blow in Al-Bjian City
AL-BJIAN CITY, Acijnstan- After initial attacks in the beginning stages of the war, JMC-A forces suffered a setback after People's Liberation Army of the Emirate of Acijnstan (PLAEA) armor units assaulted an ERC and Corrailian convoy outside the city in a previously safe-coded zone. The Convoy was transporting rations and ammo. 5 Corrailian and 9 ERC soldiers lost their lives, and 10 Corrailian and 3 ERC soldiers were injured. From now on, JMC-A convoys will be escorted by Ollingdale Air units. The Tirnreich offers its condolences, but current Tirnlander commander in Acijnstan, FM Daulhaemer, remains adamant that the overall effort is going well.

JMC-A forces have made headway in Acijnstan's 5 major urban areas. (Krijia [capital], Humas, Kalisari, Al-Bjian City, and Tijibal) Most of the districts in the cities have been rid of PLAEA units since the initial strikes. Rural areas will be cleared at a later date, as they pose less of a tactical importance. PLAEA bases are currently being taken care of by Ollingdale air and naval forces.

Power Station to be Targeted by Coalition
KAHN-BUHN, Acijnstan- The JMC-A have tracked down and located a pivotal player in the PLAEA force, General Fahji Ngokuhn. Gen. Ngokuhn (pro. Go-Koon) is the leader of the 3rd and 7th Provisional Reaction Divisions, which are responsible for counterattacks, usually across borders or other restricted areas. The General has been cornered at a lowly developed seaside village, known as Kahn-Buhn.

JMC-A forces will secure the town immediately, although first, the power must be deactivated to allow air forces and naval ships to maneuver into a strike and support position. If the power is not deactivated, the General can use batteries of anti-aircraft weapons to deter the air element, and can send water mining helicopters to drop large anti-naval mines in the waters.

It is believed that JMC-A Cmd. Daulhaemer will tap Corrailite commandos for the deactivation of the power plant, located some 20 km from the hideout. Then, Ollingdale Naval and Air forces can be on call for fire support. The final land element will be the Tirnlander TDF and ISARS units. 300 TDF soldiers and 14 ISARS Commandos will lead the land assault to capture Ngokuhn. The TDF will secure the area, and the commandos will capture and extract the General.

Emir Caught Attempting to Escape, Leaves Soldiers in Dust
KRIJIA, Acijnstan- In the wake of Aleksania's (unauthorized) bombing of Krijia, the Emir (dictator) of Acijnstan, Fahlin Sukh Mohammed, was believed dead, buried under tons of concrete rubble after the Emir's bunker was destroyed by bombs. However, a recent assault on the city outskirts led Corrailite and Tirnlander troops to Emir Tala the Red International Airport, a rundown airport that was left to decay after the JMC-A forces took action in the country. At the airport, an armored convoy was spotted outside a hangar, out of which came a Gulfstream private jet. The unmarked jet was taxiing to a loading area, but Coalition forces attempted to surround the convoy and jet.

As this happened, the personnel that were outside the vehicles were rushed back into them, and business-suited men with AK-47's engaged our soldiers. One intel officer among the Corrailite soldiers positively ID'd the Emir, but the convoy had slipped into the embattled, devastate, mazed streets of Krijia before the Coalition forces could safely give chase. A reward of :AINERO: 5 Million has been posted for the capture of Emir Mohammed, whereas a reward of :AINERO: 1 has been posted for the death of the Emir.

Operations Planned for July
SINAJ, Saudi Arabia- According to a quietly-released military bulletin, the JMC-A will be engaging in several operations this month. Here is a partial (and declassified) list of the currently ongoing and upcoming operations planned by the JMC-A Commander and fellow military leaders in the rest of the contributing nations.

Operation Happy Dolphin: This passive exercise is a campaign to increase the amount of Arcacian Aid workers in Acijnstan. Status: Planning
Operation Bravo Papa: This operation targets offshore oil rigs. Coalition forces will capture the rigs and occupy them until further notice. Status: Planning (fyi- Bravo Papa is phonetic alphabet for "BP")
Operation Card Shark: This is an operation with details similar to the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. The JMC-A Command has issued a HVT (High Value Target) list for every Coalition soldier on the ground, with names, pictures, and descriptions in both English and Arabic.
