STS A109 Pandemic

On June 18, 2010, Alexandria board on a Boeing 747 Caroline Airways Flight CR172 to Hong Kong [China] from Sypogen [Fornax]. The plane departs Sypogen at 17:52 and landed in Hong Kong at 00:05. She was alone during the flight. Her purpose of visit is to visit her relatives residing in Hong Kong.

On June 22, 2010, Alexandria, together with her cousin Elizabeth Kwong, board on a Airbus A320 Cathay Pacific Flight CX 987 to Dublin [Shushtrepistaz] from Hong Kong. The plane departs Hong Kong at 09:12 and landed in Dublin at 11:58. Their purpose of visit is sight-seeing.

On June 26, 2010, both of them went back to Hong Kong on a 09:48 Cathay Pacific Flight CX 989, which touched down on Hong Kong at 12:00. Both of them went to pick up another two people, Lionel Kwong and his girlfriend Hong Xue Mei. Lionel is Alexandria's cousin.

The four of them boarded a Boeing 747 Caroline Airways Flight CR177 at 20:12 on the same day. The plane landed on Sypogen on the following day, June 27, 2010, at 02:31. Alexandria's companion then checked into Ritz Carlton Hotel in downtown Sypogen at 03:56 on the morning of June 27, while Alexandria went back to her parent's home in Kowlan Heights. The four of them went sightseeing around Sypogen from June 27 to June 29.

On the afternoon of June 29, while sightseeing with her companions, Alexandria felt dizzy and informed her companions about it. Alexandria then left the group to return home as she feels unwell. According to her parents, Alexandria reach home just before 16:45. she told her parents that she felt dizzy and then took two pills of adult Panadol and went to rest.

At around 18:30, her mother went to her room to wake her up for dinner. Alexandria took a temperature test and the reading shows that her temperature was 36.8 degree celsius. During dinner, Alexandria claim that she did not have any appetite after eating a few spoonful of rice. She then left the dinner table to rest in her room. While climbing up the stairs, she nearly lost balance and almost fell down.

At around 20:00, Alexandria's mother entered her room and gently woke Alexandria up. Alexandria took a temperature test and no abnormally was recorded. However, her head felt heavier. Her mother pass it off as a headache due to excessive travel. Alexandria then eat the fish porridge her mother make for her. She then consume another two pills of Panadol before going back to sleep.

Around three hours later, when Alexandria's father was walking to his room, he discover Alexandria lying unconsiously on the floor just outside the bathroom door. It was believed that Alexandria pass out just before she turn off the bathroom light after using it. Both of her parents then quickly send her daughter to Kowlan General Hospital.

They arrive at the hospital at around midnight. After the doctor check on Alexandria, the doctors told her parents that Alexandria might be infected by the STS strain and have to be put under observation. Fortunately, Alexandria's health is not in any danger as she only pass out. The doctors then took some blood samples from Alexandria for a test. the blood sample was delivered to Sypogen Disease Research Centre at around 12:45. At around 06:20, the research centre confirm that the blood sample contains the STS strain.

The research centre immediately report the findings to the Ministry of Health office in downtown Sypogen and to the hospital where the patient is resting at. Alexandria was then trasferred into the Quarantine Ward. Alexandria have not woke up yet. Both of her parents were then brought into a special room so that they are separated from the public.

The people from the Ministry of Health Sypogen Office then came down to the hospital were Alexandria was resting. Health checks were then conducted on both of Alexandria parents. Both of them show no signs or symptoms.

Both of the parents were then brought to a government-owned chalet, which as designated as a quarantine village, in Sypogen to be quarantined for a week. Alexandria was then transferred to Downtown Hospital @ Sypogen at around 07:00 as the hospital is a designated hospital for STS confirmed patients so that they could be monitored closely. Alexandria's parents were then ask of her travel plans.
