Application Assistance & Improvement Thread
Welcome to the AIN, and thank you for coming to the University, where you can take a look through many of the past applications to join this union, and apply your own nation.
But before you do apply, it's always a good idea to post in here and get some suggestions from other AIN members on ways to improve techniques, image taking skills and other things that are vital to entering the union. It can also be a useful place to learn some tips after you've applied, or if your application was rejected. Plus, you can find out some links to downloads and get to know other members better.

How do you create a coat of arms? like i know how but is there a program other than paint that can do it for you?

What I would strongly suggest is to head over to Wikimedia Commons and type "heraldry" into the search bar. There is HEAPS of stuff there you can mix and match. It's how I did all of mine.

It's not the best idea, but you can certainly incorporate elements of the British one into yours.

Yeah we prefer you dont copy the coat of arms exactly - but make it relevant to your nation. I know a fair bit on british coat of arms and symbology - being Northern Irish so PM me if you need a hand.

Not bad for a first attempt. Needs to be polished, though.

Re: Application Assistance & Improvement Thread
I'm wondering what the steps are to the AIN now, Observer, Member, etc. I'm back working on waterbridge, which was started to join the AIN but ended up trying for the afdes but I stopped sc4 and cancelled that application and now am working on Waterbridge again and plan on trying for ain membership but want to know the steps and which are required and whats required for them.
Re: Application Assistance & Improvement Thread
You may be part of another Union and be an Observer. If you want to be fully part of AIN, you can apply for Associate Member/Member.

Re: Application Assistance & Improvement Thread
ok, but the only three are observer, member and associate member? and is associate member the same as Jr. Member used to be?

Re: Application Assistance & Improvement Thread
Since we use the new system of membership application, now a new member could instantly being member state (Full member) without needing of being associate member (Jr. Member).
Re: Application Assistance & Improvement Thread
You either apply for Observership or Membership. If you apply for observership you aren't a complete member of the AIN.
If you apply for membership, and then it goes to voting, we will vote on whether we feel you should be accepted as a Member State (full) or an Associate Member (junior). We can also vote no completely, but that's unlikely to happen.
