General Elections of AIN

Campaign Period Begins: Saturday, 28 August, 2010
Voting Opening: Sunday, 12 September, 2010
Voting Closing: Wednesday, 15 September, 2010

Running for Office and Campaigns

AIN will be having its general elections in September.

There are no requirements for running in a department, only that candidates are full members. However, those running for Vice President and President must commit to being active on a daily basis. We understand school and other commitments, but the President and Vice President must be active (sign in, reply to several posts) daily, unless there's an emergency.

If for any reason the President cannot fulfill his or her duties, the current Vice President will take over. If for any reason the Vice President cannot fulfill his or her duties, one of the current admins will step in while a new Vice President is appointed. Administration rights may or may not apply to current President or Vice President.

Department of Transport and Infrastructure: Manages union transportation and infrastructure affairs.

Department of Foreign Affairs: Ambassador to other unions, also makes sure that everything runs smoothly between AIN nations.

Although I am not interested and not a full member (and not running for president for that matter) do you mind if I ask how long the term of presidency is?

It's normally 6 months, I think.

and does everyone within AIN vote for the president or just full members? sorry to be so annoying

I just read February's election thread, and Nate said Juniors could vote.

Also, just to note, anyone could run an indefinite number of office terms based on my best knowledge.

I would like to run for a second office term for the Department of Education, Safety and Health.

I am currently contemplating what I want to run for..

Just wondering as my proposal for AIN Games Federation was for a Junior member to be able to sit on committee as to why its been left out as i was hoping to be able to nominate for it as i don't have an application ready to go for full membership just yet ?

EDIT: I will now drop out of the VP run, and run for Head of Dept. of Transportation

Election Changes:

After looking at bonythonboi's suggestion on the Games Federation, there will be four positions needed for the ain games. I know that we havent even put the proposal for voting, and I will do that asap. But we will definitely have the federation because everyone agrees that one person can't possibly run the AIN games So if you are running for AIN Games, please state your desired position.

And there is also the addition of the Deputy, where they will step into any department(besides AIN Games, Admin, AIN Court, VP or President) in case the incumbent is temporarily unable to fullfil his or her duties .
