Re: Election Information
Isn't it like 36 members in the alliance so roughly 18 members to get elected to each position ?? Just my calculation but I'm out on the town and drunk lol
Re: Election Information
I would like to propose a blackban on political advertising in the last 24 hours before the election. Basically, everybody with banners or buttons in their avatar or signature must remove them at least 24 hours prior to the poles opening.
This is what happens in Australia and it's designed to give people a chance to make up their minds without outside influence.
Obviously, candidates can still take questions in their campaign thread.
I've already removed mine. At this stage it's obviously completely voluntary.
What do other's (particularly other candidates) think about this?

Re: Election Information
I personally think all of the banners and avatars are annoying .. Like at first everybody had a thomas one and you had to look at everyones name rather than just their avatar and it got annoying

I agree. I already don't advertise myself or anyone else

Re: Election Information
If people wish to show their support for a campaign through using somebody else's avatar and signature, then they should be allowed to. There is nothing against the rules that prevents somebody sharing an avatar with someone else, if you have a problem with it then politely PM them and ask if they could change it, if it bothers you that much.
I will also take down my campaign signature and avatar, in support of this idea.

I think banners are ok....now PMs a little too much, I don't like those. It's like when those annoying people call your house 5 times a day.

Re: Election Information
I should clarify. It's not a ban on banners, buttons and campaigning, it's just a ban in the last 24 hours before polling opens.

We never said it was against the rules and that people have to take them down.. We just said we find them annoying sometimes

Re: Election Information
And I never said that you thought it was against the rules, I was simply making a point that if people wish to show their support for a campaign, they can and it isn't against the rules.

Re: Election Information
Voting Will Begin at 12:00am Central Standard Time on Sunday for the AIN Elections. Beginning with the elections for each party. If there is only 1 person per party already running those voting polls will open in a few days

Re: Election Information
Are the rest of the polls going to be put up today and tomorrow, so that we all have at least 24 hours to vote, because of time zones and things? The union is spread across about 12 hours of time, so putting polls up on Wednesday (CT) could mean lots of people miss out on voting.

Re: Election Information
Yea me and DC are stuck in a 10-10 voting tie.
There's ONE person who voted for Nate, who's the deciding vote
