Re: Maps
Thomas: No, it's named after Anglet, Aquitaine, France. The suburb of Barritz in the Basque region where Lycanthia's founder was born. He was not Basque, however. His parents were originally from Valence in Rhône-Alpes.
Unusually for French, it's pronounced exactly the way it's spelt.

Re: Maps
Ah, okay. Sounds a bit like a cognate for Angleland, which is where England comes from. Nice choices of names.

Re: Maps
You know, when you asked the question, I don't know why, but in my head I heard it in the thickest cockney accent: "Is that an English town then, guv'nah?" ::

Julien: No. It's pronounced Anglet. The "t" is not silent.
