October City Notebook of the Month and Union Banner

City Notebook of the Month - October

The October City Notebook will be decided on by the admins. If you are interested in having your country featured please post below. The only thing that we ask is that you know for sure that you can produce a couple of update next month should your country be selected.


Union Banner

There will be the five slots representing each region. So, if you want your country to be featured in the banner, please post a picture or two of your country and mention what region your entry is from/representing. The theme of next month's banner is Past, Present and Music. The best bids should contain pictures of your country's history, what it looks like now and some musical features of your country. So some pictures advertising the AMA's will be very useful.

Deadline: 1st October 2010

Slot 1 - North America
Slot 2 - South America and Pacific
Slot 3 - Europe
Slot 4 - Oceania
Slot 5 - Middle East, Africa and Asia

Forum Organisation

And finally, there will also be some changes to the forum layout during this next month, with the beginning of the Forum Organisation, and the colours of membership will also be changing. So keep your eye open for the changes, and put across your opinion here!

The banner is nearly finished, and the CN of the Month has been chosen. Due to recent events, the banner won't be going up until I get my admin powers back.

City Notebook of the Month - October

Due to no bids for the October City Notebook of the Month, Cattala will be the featured CN.

Union Banner

Due to only receiving a couple of images here, and a couple of Skype, we will only feature four images this month. The banner will be changing over the month, with special events and with myself getting used to the styling of it, hopefully the quality will improve as well.

Forum Organisation

This will begin either today or tomorrow, and the colour system is now set and will not be changing again.

Union Banner

The Union Banner has been edited to a new, beta style. Depending on what people say, it may change again. I have got four continents covered, but Middle East/Africa/Eurasia isn't covered sadly. I'm not sure whether marsh is staying, or leaving for the COFR.

Forum Style

Nate has threatened to delete all the AIN images he has, because of American copyright laws. I take this threat very seriously. So if our images and things suddenly go... then you know why. I am obviously looking at ways to fix this issue.

EDIT: On a side note, I have been working on a middle east city for fun in my spare time. If you needed a pic for the banner i could send one- It would probably have to be a member nation though huh? oh well scratch that lol

I am currently working on a new banner, apologies if the forums go a bit strange whilst I test it out.

Voting Updates

Following several votes in the Voting Chamber, there have been a series of aesthetic changes to the forum.

~ All Heads of Department are now ministers, which you can see from their titles on the left of the screen.

~ The Chamber of Intelligence is now the Department of Parliamentary Services, or DPS.

~ The Debate Chamber is now the Legislative Assembly.

~ The Voting Chamber is now the Senate.

We are working on editing the Constitution with these new names at the moment, and will update you when the changes are added.

I finally found the proposal about changing the City Notebooks regions, and it has now passed, so the regions are now as followed:

Europe, Middle East & Africa: Cattala, Fairview, Hiigara, the Onubis Federation and Tirnreich.

North America: Corraile, Hypertrophy, Illu'a, Lanaya, Lower Columbia and Starfishland.

Asia/Pacific: Aleksania, Arcacia, Bob, Bangorai', Calaré, East Rockcoast, Fornax, Lycanthia, Shushtrepistaz, Syldavia and Tongolia.

South America: Ascadylea, Atlantic Federation*, Galbadia and Hispania.

* Atlantic Federation could fit into Europe, North America and South America.

Im good with it, maybe the application desk could be separate?

That's what I'm thinking too. Maybe Member Services goes under Info Centre, and Applications is moved to the main forum.

Because it's a forum development, and there's no need to open a new thread. It can just be part of the monthly updates.

I've just been on Wikipedia looking at continents, and I've changed the layout of the City Notebook area again.

Afro-Eurasia: Bangorai', Cattala, Cill Orglan, Fairview, Hiigara, the Onubis Federation and Tirnreich.

North America: Corraile, Hypertrophy, Illu'a, Lanaya, Lower Columbia and Starfishland.

Asia/Pacific: Aleksania, Arcacia, Bob, Bangorai', Calaré, East Rockcoast, Fornax, Lycanthia, Shushtrepistaz, Syldavia and Tongolia.

South America: Ascadylea, Atlantic Federation, Galbadia and Hispania.

The only major change is that Bangorai' now classes as Afro-Eurasia, and has moved accordingly. Unless Sky Guy wishes for it to move back to its previous location, then it will.

I would like to have Fairview as the CJ of the month!

What about Latin America & Atlantic instead of South America?
