Re: Centreburg
Thanks everyone!
I was offered to move into a nicer district. Westlane is further from the city centre, but it is a decidedly nicer place to live in, with much more to love and enjoy.
That is the overview of Westlane, a very nice and suburban area, with trains running very frequently to the city centre, making commute much easier. The place is also pretty natural and green, so when I was offered to move (the rent is cheaper, too), I jumped at the chance.
I had two choices. A house nearer to the town centre, with all the shops and amenities.
And the other, further away, but nice and quiet.
Suggestions?

Re: Centreburg
Centreburg looks clean, as clean as Singapore if you ask me... but can you chew gum :affraid: ?
On a more serious note, maybe add some rocks with the flora ? but great stuff

Thanks for the advice, shall try that
Yes, you can buy chewing gum in Corraile. It's about as free as any Western European country (you should know, you live in one )

Re: Centreburg
I like the images and the idea of some more MMPs is a good one. But don't change the clear growth-ness of Corraile. Sometimes MMP city journals can seem much more plopped than grown ones like Corraile. So be careful.
I like both locations - although the rural one would appeal to my natural agrarianism, would it be that quiet with a railway next door?

Re: Centreburg
I made my choice.
16 Winter Park Lane would be my new home. It's in a really prime location, right next to the commuter rail station, so that commuting to work would be just as fast as it was in the old place.
Then, I explored the surroundings. Looks like more choices for dinner in future, fried chicken, sushi and the lot. Not to mention there was a grocery store nearby too so that I knew that I could cook if I wanted to (but I probably wouldn't, anyway).
Next morning, I went into the office, as usual. Except this morning, the cubicle across mine actually had someone using it. Daniel, or "Chip", as he was nicknamed, went straight into his work on his first day.
Since his cubicle was right next to mine, I took the opportunity to make a friend. something I really needed in a new country. Through these conversations I found out he was actually from the UK, and that like me, he had just moved here too.
Later on, I found myself in his apartment downtown, sipping coffee and talking about our families.

Re: Centreburg
"9:02 on the clock, and you're on 98.2FM, Centreburg's Greatest Hits. Currently the temperatures' plunged to around 4 degrees as the first snowflakes of the winter fall..."
Beautiful white snowflakes began to fall upon our warm bodies, just as I stepped out of the building where Chip and I had just been chugging beer.
Winter had begun.
"...Centreburgians are advised to take the public transport into the city today, as the city ploughs begin clearing the roads downtown, leading to massive traffic jams..."
Ah, what the heck, I'm driving today. I'm feeling to lazy to take the train today, not in such cold weather.
Driving down the road, I saw a stark reminder that winter had truly begun. 2 cars, colliding with each other after they had just skidded off the road. Better take extra care driving today, I suppose.
EDIT: It's my very first time dealing with winter in SC4. Be nice

Re: Centreburg
Thanks guys!
Winter continues to plague Centreburg, as the snow begins to accumulate in the most annoying of places.
Centreburg Gateway's traffic has slowed to a trickle today. As far as I know, there were only 3 flights that managed to depart before the airport had to be shut again due to the weather.
All over Centreburg's rural areas though, winter had managed to create one of the most beautiful spectacles I had ever seen (It never really snowed in my childhood days Down Under)
The hills, and the trees were all blanketed under a think layer of white snow. Apart from that though, it was REALLY COLD (And I meant it, at 5 degrees, it was no joke)
Well, this was the first true winter I have ever experienced, and I must say it's lovely (apart from the cold, of course).
