Live news feed from Barnaul, New Altai Republic from the 2010 Russian States Summit.


Here we are! Barnaul International airport where the government representatives are waiting for the diplomatic guests to arrive. It looks like another small jet has landed and has just opened the hatch to the ground.

Let's follow the latest escort that has left the airport. They are just passing the brand new ЬИПРОСТАЛ office building that is one of the newest high rises in the city, finished 2006.

The escort is continuing the high boulevard towards Barnaul city centre. Here it goes threw the western retail district.

Here we see the city hospital, finished in 1984. The escort would have probably cut left here but unfortunately the road construction is only planned to finish in 3/2011.

Here comes the city proper. On the left you can notice the football club FC Dynamo Barnaul's homeground.

"The Factory" (Завод ~ Zavod).

The venue, ex-socialist party headquarters in Altai Krai. The building was abandoned after the collapse of the Soviet Union, but was refurbished in 2007 by the city authorities and now serves as a conference centre for up to 4,500 people.

The hotel. Finished 1964 and refurbished in 1997 to accommodate state guests. Many Premiers have spent nights in this fine hotel during their state visits.


Dear friends! Thank you for taking part in the first official meeting between Russian states and their friends. As previously mentioned, in this meeting we simply discuss about each others current issues and possible future plans and this way try to find common ground for cooperation. But let's not jump ahead of us just yet.

Russians, as you know, are one of the most widespread population groups in the world. Almost 116 million Russians live in the current Russian Federation, 18 million more live in the neighboring countries, and a further 13 million in Asia and Oceania combined. There are more than 4 million Russians and their descendants in North America and an additional 1,5 million people in South America.

Russians can be attributed of various inventions throughout history including: vodka, two cylinder engine, monorail, electromagnetic telegraph, field anesthesia, modern oil well, oil tanker, electric trams, first airliner, Ak-47, nuclear power plant, ICBM, satellite, portable mobile phone, space suit and tetris. Not only to strengthen this list of achievements but also to find mutual grounds for cooperation, to change the world, this summit is taking place.

At the moment the governmental relations between the New Altai Republic and the participating states are near neutral towards everyone. Yet there have been informal talks between Cattala, the Atlantic Federation and Shustrepistaz. New Altai Republic is very interested in increasing formal cooperation between Aleksania, Shushtrepistaz and Syldavia and possibly Hiigara. Also due to large German minority I would also like to approach Tirnreich of possible future cooperation.

I will now pass the ball to the rest of the guests to briefly describe your current relations between you and the other participating states. And thank you for listening.

Aleksania

Cattala has had altercations with Aleksania in the past, most infamously during the Aleksania Nuclear Bomb crisis. The nations have little contact anymore, due to the Holy Regno's focus on continental foreign policy and relations with Atlantic and Australasian nations, not Pacific nations.

Dolgaria

Cattala has been looking to improve relations with Dolgaria since the nation joined the AIN, and trade and investment has been increasing. Dolgaria is expected to become a key partner for Cattala in the coming months.

Hiigara

Relations with Hiigara have been strained recently after Cattala became a founding member of the European Defence Alliance, which Hiigara does not support. Rhodes trades a lot with the Confederacy, as it is located south and west of Hiigaran territories.

Shushtrepistaz

Cattala has invested millions of sterlina into the Shushtrepistaz solar energy market, and Shushtrepistaz has invested in Cattala's wind energy market. Recently there have been tensions as rumours of an Atlantic pact have spread.

Syldavia

Syldavia and Cattala have bad relations - Cattala currently has Syldavia in the union court, and has closed all embassies and frozen relations due to the breach of the AIN Constitution, and intelligence sharing with North Korea.

Tirnreich

Cattala and the Tirnreich have very strong relations and are the two founding members of the European Defence Alliance. There is a lot of military trade between the two nations.

Aleksania

Syldavia is in neutral relations with Aleksania. We are doing military trades, mostly.

Cattala

Syldavia and Cattala have bad relations since Cattala get us in court. Plus, Cattala's isolation politic isn't good for the relations with us.

Dolgaria

Syldavia wishes to improve relations with Dolgaria. We are looking to organized hockey matches between the 2 nations.

Hiigara

Syldavia and Hiigara are sometimes called "cousins". We share common cultural things such as language.

Shushtrepistaz

Shushtrepistaz is the 3rd nation Syldavia is exporting and importing from. We have a military pact and trade pact.

Tirnreich

Syldavia has neutral relations with Tirnreich, but we are looking to improve them.

Aleksania
Currently there are no close political and economic relations between Dolgaria and Aleksania. Our diplomatic sector in the near future will review diplomatic and economic opportunities in the Pacific region. We hope that in the near future relations between our countries will improve ..

Cattala
We will not deny it that our diplomats sees good perspective for cooperation between the two countries during this month our country will prepare a report on the economic and cultural co-operation with CATTALA.

Hiigara
So far, the relationship is good with Hiigara. But since our countries are located in one geographic area we are interested to build better relationships.

New Altai Republic.
First, we want to thank for the kind welcome and the organization of the Summit. Our country is interested in economic cooperation. Dolgaria sees good opportunities for cooperation.

Shushtrepistaz
Relations with Shushtrepistaz are neutral, we are not optimistic of improving them. But still looking forward to cooperating.

Syldavia
A good relationship. Our country is interested in cooperation. Dolgaria supports the idea of hockey Matches Between the two nations.


Tirnreich
Is one of our allies. Mainly we want to improve diplomatic relations and Dolgaria is interested in creating a direct rail service to Tirnreich.

Aleksania
Due to past actions perpetrated by Aleksania, the Tirnreich has strained relations with the island nation. Improving relations with Aleksania is not a priority of the Tirnreich.

Cattala
One of the primary allies of the Tirnreich, Cattala is a vital European and military ally of the Empire, as it has been pivotal in trade, political, and military operations and projects.

Dolgaria
Unfortunately, the Tirnreich and Dolgaria have not had formal diplomatic relations with each other, but the Emperor hopes to soon change this to have another strong ally.


Hiigara
Although both are long time Union members, the Tirnreich and Hiigara have had little diplomatic dialogue. If anything, Tirnreich and Hiigara are neutral in relations, although Hiigara's opposition to the EDA would sour potential talks, if it were serious enough. Despite this, the Tirnreich is willing and hoping for new opportunities to present themselves to these two European nations.

Shushtrepistaz
The relations between Shushtrepistaz and Tirnreich are good, with the former being another powerful colleague. The Empire would like to keep relations friendly and ever-changing.

Syldavia
As a newly approved member nation, Syldavia hasn't had the opportunity for a state visit by the Prime Minister of the Tirnreich, so relations haven't opened up yet, although the Empire is excited to do so.

Aleksania
Good relationship between the two states. Hiigara sees more interest in improving and become economical allies.

Cattala
Largest in AOIN, after Hypertrophy, country whit Hiigaran communities. Relationship is one of the best.

Dolgaria
Relationship are still neutral, but Hiigara is hoping to improve the relationship.

Relations with Shushtrepistaz are neutral. We are interested in improving them

Hiigara hopes to improve and become allies.
