Day 1 - Weakness of Mediterranean economies

During this global crisis many mediterranean countries announce very serious financial problems. Greece, Spain, Portugal, Fairview and now Italy. Fairview is recovering from the crisis since we putted in circulation new laws and taxes in order to prevent this country of becoming in a risk of bankrupcy. However, the crisis is going each day deeper and other countries such as Cattala and Hiigara can contract that risk.

1. Do you think Mediterranean countries are vulnarable because of their weak economies? And what is the real problem of these countries?

3. Should Cattala, Fairview and Hiigara sign a treaty of mutual help in order to prevent the crisis in entering in this countries?

1. Do you think Mediterranean countries are vulnarable because of their weak economies? And what is the real problem of these countries?

The situation in Hiigaran Mediterranean region (Countries Acirfia, Najma, Argindia, Asmara, Yri Laim and Genosha) wore not heavelly hit. Most of the problem sectors wore in tourism and foreign companies opening. On the other the countries did not have problems like Greece as the central government in Konfederatisk supported the countries economies.

2.In your opinion what should be the best economy sector (tourism, fishery, agriculture,...) for mediterranean countries?

It is hard to say what sector should be the best. If the region supports any sector its it own decision. Hiigara is more industrial then Fairview and things that are good for the Fairview, is probably not the same in Hiigara.

3. Should Cattala, Fairview and Hiigara sign a treaty of mutual help in order to prevent the crisis in entering in this countries?

No. Hiigara still has some political conflict with Cattala and supporting the economy of Cattala in the situation of economic collapse is not wise for the Konfederatisk Government.

1. Do you think Mediterranean countries are vulnarable because of their weak economies? And what is the real problem of these countries?

In general terms, yes. Because they relied on cheap loans to fund tourism and housing-based growth that has completely dried up now.

In terms of Cattala, no. The economy isn't as weak as other countries because we have introduced a more flexible tax regime and have been more strict against our banks than other countries. Much of the economy remains in agriculture and exports, so we haven't suffered as much as other, import-reliant economies.

2.In your opinion what should be the best economy sector (tourism, fishery, agriculture,...) for mediterranean countries?

Tourism is by far the most profitable. But it can also be the most volatile. For a stable economy you need a mixture of all three - fishing, tourism and agriculture, as well as other services and industry.

3. Should Cattala, Fairview and Hiigara sign a treaty of mutual help in order to prevent the crisis in entering in this countries?

The United Kingdom of Cattala will support the Fairview Democratic Republic as part of it's joint membership of the Ainero, as we don't want to see our currency suffer. However we won't support Hiigara as we cannot fiscally support such a large nation.

Yes, we are more vulnerable since we have a divide based economy. Mediterranean countries face suffer serious corruption problems related with our economy although we are not so competitive, in general, as the north economies.

2.In your opinion what should be the best economy sector (tourism, fishery, agriculture,...) for Mediterranean countries?

The tourism should be the most worked sector. But agriculture is one of the best sustents of a nation when it comes to imports and exports, because if we have agriculture we will have less importations and more exportations.

3. Should Cattala, Fairview and Hiigara sign a treaty of mutual help in order to prevent the crisis in entering in this countries?

No, since that will not prevent at all an enormous crisis, but we can help each other with meetings like these and financial or trades treaties in order to increase the exportation of each country!
