Day 5 - Rules

What rules do you want here ? Shall we have a Constitution ?

heres some of what i think needs to be rules:

• be nice to other members, and no offensive language
  
• no spam
  
• have fun!
  

here is what think needs to happen if theres a rule violation:

1. warning from admins.
   
2. if they commit the same violation or another one, they should be temporarily ban from AIN
   
3. if they commit it again or another violation, then they should be expelled from AIN.
   

as for the constitution, idk maybe...

About the rules, will there be any rules about the image size?

Image size ? What do you mean ?

Like the 600 X 800 pixel limit on Simtropolis and several forums.

i think we should have a size limit, i mean even though its a pain to go into photoshop and resize it, resizing defeinitely makes the site load faster. but what does everyone else think?

Well, I don't know but I would say yes.

For picture width, it should be only 800, if you go over some of your picture wont show up anyway so thats pretty much a rule already in place, unless you really want your picture exceeding the 800 set mark for the site. For the height i don't think it matters personally..

Somes Rules:

No offensive words, swear words for example
No nudity pictures.
I would say some sexual content can be allowed as long as you don't show anything exposed.

Warnings:
First Warning should come from the Admin or a moderator of the sub-forum if there is one. Warning would just tell the user of there wrong doing and not do it again

Second Warning Admin or Moderator contacts user. Tell user of wrong doing, and lose 100 points for the union games, more depending what the offense was.

Third Warning: Admin contacts user. Either kick user out of union by vote from union members or but the user on probation for a week or 2 weeks. So they can't comment..

I think the proposed rules are fine, but I would hope that the enforcement won't be necessary.

As an Alliance of Independent Nations, I would think that the ground rules would be established by a Treaty, not a Constitution. As I understand it, the purpose of the union is to organize and promote cooperation among sovereign (i.e. independent) entities, not organize them under one government.
