Autumn 2011 General Election
Sixth General Election of the AIN
Declaration Deadline: 31st August 2011
Campaign Period Begins: 1st September 2011
Campaign Period Ends:14th September 2011
Voting Opening: 15th September 2011
Voting Closing: 22nd September 2011
General Election Commissioner: Daniel Raffaele
Running for Office and Campaigns
This month's election will be following the same system as we did in February - members who wish to run for a specific ministry will post below and will be added to the list of nominees for that ministry. If there is only one person running for a ministry, then "other" will be the option at the ballot, and those who vote other will have to email the electoral commission email (below) with their vote. If nobody is running for a department then a member will be assigned to it by the admins and the new Executive. You can only run for two ministries maximum.
Anyone contesting these positions are free to begin working on a campaign now, but you are not permitted to post it on the forums or have a campaign signature until 1st September.

Re: Autumn 2011 General Election
Well the door is always open, Edge.
We still need a Minister for Culture, Arts and Sports and a Minister for Citizens’ Affairs.
Don't feel forced to run, but it would be a shame if nobody did run for the position and someone got chosen by an email poll. Then we might end up with some people fulfilling two Cabinet roles, which wouldn't really be fair on them.
Or, if people wanted, we could allow people to run for two ministries if they wanted to. If nobody decides to run for MCAS or MCA then that is another option.

TOTALLY. LIKE. SO. YOU KNOW. LIKE.
Sure, it's a great idea. Then there will be more competition and I guess no one will be running alone against nobody.
