Ainero Commissioner
It's my pleasure to announce the appointment of the first Ainero Commissioner, Tomi! Tomi will take over the running of the Ainero from me and will be initiating a series of reviews and reforms into the management of the Ainero and will be working with myself and other members on how to integrate it more into the union and improve it. This could involve drastic changes, including a break up of the Ainero as we know it - so be prepared for some important changes to ensure the future vitality of the Ainero and this ministry.
Tomi has a blank canvas to work with and I'm sure he'll do a fantastic job as Commissioner. I wish him the best of luck and I'm sure you all do as well.

Re: Ainero Commissioner
Um... not to sound stupid or disrespectful, but who's Tomi?
Congrats regardless.

Re: Ainero Commissioner
Tomi being my real name. And thank you!
To start with, I will be going threw the background and current situation of AINERO as a currency and briefly (and as simply as I can) explain the global monetary system for everybody.
After that I will leave some time before my own suggestions of the future of the currency, so everybody can post their comments and questions in this thread (which can later be renamed to something more suitable, perhaps?). Finally, I will post a project summary detailing the background, and options for the future. At the moment I don't have a clear timetable but I hope we can have a vote of the future of AINERO in January 2012.
Background of AINERO
The name AINERO was officially adopted on 13 January 2007. According to my research and understanding, AINERO was initially founded as a supposed-to-be common currency for all member states of the Alliance of the Independent Nations.
The AINERO was introduced to world financial markets as an accounting currency on 1 January 2008, at a ratio of $0.63 USD to 1 AINERO. AINERO coins and banknotes entered circulation on 2 January 2008.[1]
The 2007 Killorglin Treaty states that the AINERO is the official currency for international trade in the AIN, but is not required to be adopted. Following the lead of Illu'a in December 2010, Syldavia, Fairview and Cattala adopted the AINERO as an official currency in 2011.[2]

Could be sooner though, depends what kind of effort I put into this, because I'm not a professional of financials, I've just had a few courses of it in the universityLuug wrote:At the moment I don't have a clear timetable but I hope we can have a vote of the future of AINERO in January 2012.

Monetary System
Instead of writing/drawing graphs I found this pretty nice document This is how our money system works, it's about 45 minutes long and some people might get afraid, but don't worry! The end is not here, yet.
So if you watched the document, this is how our world works today. Next, I will explain how exchange rates work.
Once we/you understand how monetary system and different currencies work together, we can start to talk about how AINERO can help us prevent the doom.
