Re: Rough Draft - Discussion
really, i think life in prison would be worse. first off, in prison there is a lot more violence then the average person realizes, ive watched several documentaries about it and even more articles. having no hope of ever getting out? The constant threat of being beaten to death by some other inmate. I’m sorry, but I highly disagree. If someone commits genocide, I don’t think they should be given the option of escaping and doing it again.
Re: Rough Draft - Discussion
If someone commits genocide wouldn't we want to punish them?

Yeah how the hell would killing them be an option instead? Its inhuman in every right. And i know prisons are tough, ive been inside one during normal hours with my mom. Shes works there. Yes people get hurt. It happens. It happens in everyday life to people outside prison. Killing a person that may be innocent isnt right. Even if there guilty. They shouldn't be punished by being killed. I also find this appalling. And im very shocked

Re: Rough Draft - Discussion
Consider this: One who commits or attempts to commit genocide is usually a megalomaniac. They seek nothing but power. Locking them up in a cell for the rest of their days, where they are told what to do and when to do it, removes their power. Killing them turns them into a martyr.
If they choose to take their own lives, they can. In Arcacia, a person has the right to end their own life. Just not someone else's.

I am in support of the death penalty if it involves only a sovereign nation. But if this is a genocide thing, then it should be decided by the AIN committee.

Re: Rough Draft - Discussion
I propose an AIN task force is sent to the Republic of Aleksania to see how it's citizens are treated. If there is proof of maltreatment i propose Aleksania be suspended from the Union.

Re: Rough Draft - Discussion
If a task force enters aleksanian waters or airspace, they will be destroyed by a joint Russo-Aleksanian force
Re: Rough Draft - Discussion

Re: Rough Draft - Discussion
Actually, it's only if we choose to retain the status quo. If the law changes, then everybody is considered to have a clean slate.
Arcacia does not support sanctions against Aleksania or Lisieux at this stage.
