Under this proposal, signatory member nations of the AIN would agree to:

1) Non-proliferation of nuclear arms:
- Signatory member states will not purchase, nor produce nuclear arms
- Signatory member states will not store nuclear arms on behalf of other nations
- Signatory member states will not allow the transportation of nuclear arms within their territory or by any craft registered with their nation on behalf of other nations
- Signatory member states will not sell or gift any nuclear arms to any other nation

2) Disarmament of existing nuclear arms:
- Signatory member states will disarm and decommission any and all existing nuclear arms
- Signatory member states are responsible for setting their own timetable for disarmament
- Signatory member states will dispose of nuclear waste in a manner thoughtful to environmental and safety concerns


3) The right to peacefully use nuclear technology:
- Signatory member states will use nuclear technology only for peaceful purposes, including (but not limited to) nuclear power and space exploration
- Signatory member states will not produce weapons grade nuclear fuel on behalf of other nations

Nuclear weapons are the single greatest threat to global security. A nuclear war would affect not only the targets, but their neighbours. A global nuclear war would spell the end of humanity.

This treaty will remain open forever. This way, members can sign up later if they originally did not want to but had a change of heart. Also, signatories may withdraw from the treaty at any time.
