Arcacian Airlines takes delivery of E-Jets

Arcacian Airlines has today begun flying it's two newest aircraft. The Embraer E-170, or "E-Jet," will be used to fly Arcacian's shortest routes to Brisbane, Hervey Bay and Lycanthia. Boeing 737s were used on these routes but were frequently only half full. The new smaller jets will enable these routes to remain profitable.

Arcacian was supposed to receive the new aircraft in June, but delivery was delayed after the airline changed its livery, meaning that the aircraft had to be repainted before they could enter service.

Arcacian Airlines says it is now eagerly awaiting delivery of 2 brand new Boeing 787s which will be used for direct flights to Frankfurt and Toronto. It doesn't have long to wait, as it was one of the first airlines to place an order for the Dreamliner and should receive the new planes by mid to late 2011.
