Arcacian Airlines Takes Delivery of Long-Haul Fleet

Arcacian Airlines has taken delivery of 3 Boeing 747-400s and 7 Boeing 777-300s and will begin operating long-haul services next month. Boeing won the contract to supply Arcacian Airlines' long-haul fleet, which will also eventually 2 787-8s and 1 787-3, expected to be delivered sometime in 2011-2012.

Each of the 3 747s will be assigned a permanent route. One will fly to New York via Los Angeles, one will fly to Buenos Aires and then on to Rio de Janeiro and the third will fly to London via Hong Kong. The 777s will fly to Vancouver and Toronto via Honolulu, Tokyo, Johannesburg via Perth, and Dubai via Singapore and Mumbai. The 787-8s will fly directly to San Francisco and Frankfurt. The 787-3 will be an all first-class configuration and fly a round-the-world route.
