Sunset Coast Line
The Sunset Coast Line is a scenic passenger train route operating on the west coast of Illu'a, between Colbitz Central Station and Kingston South Street Station. While faster train service exists that goes through the city of Daloa, the views of the Pacific Ocean from the train keep the rail line alive. It is the only passenger rail line in Illu'a that isn't electrified.
Maps are always good. Based off of an Amtrak map.
A teaser. I will remove my railway electrification mod for updates to this thread.

Re: Sunset Coast Line
Thank you, both of you!
The first Kilometer
The northern terminus of the Sunset Coast Line is South Street Station in Downtown Kingston. To get from the streets to the platforms, you have to enter through the ground floor of Railroad Tower(The white art deco one.)
And off we go!
Here, we pass some of the inner suburbs of Kingston.
Zooming out, you can see the grid still exists here.

Aranho: Thank you!
Thomas: Your comment reminded me that the locomotive in each of the close ups has the Sunset Coast logo in different places. I'll fix that sometime.
anarchy0029: Thank you!
Blakeway: If you want to know how I make realistic cities, I take random areas of real life cities, and emulate them.
Saathoff: You really think I should? I'm not too sure about the Simlympics, but I think I'm ready for this.
Another 2 kilometers
The Sunset Coast passes a KingRail commuter station and a few stores.
The area around the station is supposed to be a transit oriented development, with a few bus routes stopping by the station. Obviously, none of that happened yet.
The Sunset Coast splits from the main passenger rail corridor. KingRail and Illu'a National Railway trains take the eastern tracks, which lead to Daloa.
Now we are in the newer suburbs. There's hints of nature, and the grid is starting to turn to mush.

If at least one other person agrees with Saathoff, I'm running for the August Simlympics.

Re: Sunset Coast Line
Let me add my support to an August bid from anywhere in Illu'a. You've built some really high-quality cities and landscapes!
