Ollingdale Aerospace to close from Midday
Icelandic Volcanic Eruption cripples British, Scandinavian and Ollingdalean aerospace
BREAKING NEWS
BREAKING NEWS
From midday today (GMT+1), all flights in and out of Ollingdalean aerospace will be cancelled, and all airports in the country have been closed after an Icelandic volcano erupted, spewing ash over the north European skies, making flights impossible and dangerous. In line with the British aviation officials, Ollingdale's aerospace will be locked down from midday until midnight tonight, with only Search and Rescue and emergency services flights being allowed.
The PM's return from Washington after the Nuclear Summit has been delayed, meaning when he returns he will be in the country for under a day before flying out to Atrubia for the Presidential inauguration and his trip to Afghanistan to visit troops ahead of the Military Review.
It's believed that at least 200 flights from Ollingdale City and Woking International Airport have been cancelled already, and flights aren't expected to arrive or depart again until midnight at the earliest, on advice from Britain's Met Office and Ollingdale's CfM.

Tirnreich incoming flights from affected regions have been delayed by the ash.
Luckily, AirTirnreich flies most of their flights in-Europe, but all flights to and from affected areas and/or crossing the Atlantic have been cancelled

The only areas in Europe that are given the all-clear signal are Scotland, Holidia, Ireland, Spain, Southern France, Italy, Sweden, the Balkan States, East Romania and several parts of West Russia.
However, all flights to Scotland, Holidia, Ireland and Sweden will have to be diverted from its main course. To fly into Scotland, Holidia, Ireland and Sweden, passengers must board a flight with a stopover on the following areas: Rome, Italy; Madrid, Spain; New York City, USA; Los Angeles, USA. Passengers are advised to check the wesite at carolineair.com for more details.

Fly Illu'a only has two flights canceled, as most flights are in North America. Small amounts of stranded passengers are in Colbitz Sweet Lake, Henry Edwards International, and Strathmore-Palmona International.

Re: Ollingdale Aerospace to close from Midday
I forgot to make the official announcement. Colbitz has two airports that serve the city. Colbitz Sweet Lake(Colbitz International Airport) is close to Downtown, and doesn't have much more room for expansion. It's the main hub for Fly Illu'a. Henry Edwards International is a newer airport built to handle extra air traffic.

Re: Ollingdale Aerospace to close from Midday
The reason some countries closer to Iceland are opening airports are because the ash cloud has moved further south, into Southern England, France, Belgium, Germany etc.
It's believed up to 100,000 people have been stranded in or airports returning to Ollingdale as Easter Break ends in the country. The airspace will remain closed until at least Monday 7:00am GMT.
The Prime Minister has not returned to the country from Washington, and has instead flown out to Atrubia direct from America.

Re: Ollingdale Aerospace to close from Midday
Ollingdale Airspace to reopen at 10:00am BST
Ollingdale airspace will reopen at 10am tomorrow morning with both Ollingdale City and Woking International Airports opening at 13:00 as the ash cloud leaves Northern Europe and moves towards the East Coast of America and southern Europe. Many countries across Europe have sent mixed messages, with some delaying the re-opening and others opening earlier than expect.
Following Britain's deployment of naval ships to pick up stranded passengers in France, some ships en route to Acjistan have been diverted to pick up Ollingdale residents stuck in Spain, Gibraltar and France. The latest figures show over 20,000 travellers have been delayed in Ollingdale's airports and over 50,000 Olling nationals are stuck abroad as the end of the Easter break causes schools to shudder to a halt. The backlog of passengers is expect to spill over into next week, as the cost of the volcano rises above that of 9/11.
