As anti-Hijaran protest shock two major cities in Karasem, a shocking video emerged on the Internet.

Under a large banner decorated with a Tiger, two men dressed in camouflage are seen performing an apparent execution: First, they bind and gag their two victims, then one is beheaded and the other is shot. One victim was identified as being Kran'et'ian Slavic Hijaran and the second from Al Garibat Region.

The purported execution video was posted on the Internet, but removed less than 24 hours later.

The Brothers of Karasem claimed responsibility. In an anonymous letter on a Karasem Web site, the group said the motive for this attack was to remove all Pagans from Karasem territory.

Without saying whether the executions were real, Karasem prosecutors said they arrested and charged a university students with inciting racial hatred.

Since the 1990, racism and xenophobia have been on the rise, experts say. Alexander Brod, director of the Karasem-Hijaran Bureau of Human Rights, says there are more than 100 extremist groups currently in Karasem, with nearly 1.5 million members and the majority of assaults committed by religiouse fanatics.

There are a number of theories behind the recent spate of racial attacks. One points to the modernization of the last 15 years, which has thrown away the old society and replaced it with a new, more democratic one. But this new society, the theory goes, was created without clear aims or definition of purpose; many changes were arbitrary and poorly thought through. The result was a loss of stability and security for the population, many of whom became impoverished.

Karasem has at least 10 extremist and nationalist groups that frequently preach xenophobia and racism. One of the larger and relatively long-established extremist groups is the Blade Party, which was recently banned after a court hearing. However, plenty of groups are still thriving and party activists are believed to be between 10,000 and 15,000 in number.

Ibrahim Serem, member of the Public Chamber, explained that the ultimate result of slogans like "Karasem for the Muslim" is a threat to Karasem's multiculturalism and its future as a civilized state.

George Bovt, editor of "Konfederatisk Vesti", voiced his suspicion that fanatics are being used to intimidate and frighten the public into sticking with the establishment at the polls. The Trust Center's report that the Karasem political establishment has lately been aiming for a "controlled nationalism."

Two reported new outbreaks of Nate flu among birds in western Urobia have raised fears that the virus is being spread widely by migrating birds and mutating rapidly.

The regional director for the Alliance Health Organization, Dr. Shigeru Omi, told reporters in Vladivostok yesterday that the two recent outbreaks in remote areas in which hundreds of birds died were worrisome because they involved migratory waterfowl and domestic geese, birds that until now had been fairly resistant to the disease.

In late May, the government reported that hundreds of bar-headed geese, gulls, ducks and cormorants had been found dead on an island in a salt lake in the region that lies on an important migratory route.

Previously, the Nate flu had been lethal to domestic chicken flocks, but veterinary officials had believed that geese and wild birds carried the disease without dying of it.

"The best thing I can say is to keep our vigilance high," Reuters quoted Dr. Omi as saying.

For the last two weeks, rumors circulated on some Web sites tracking infectious diseases that more than 120 people, including six tourists, had died of Nate Flu, and that hundreds had been quarantined.

However, they all proved traceable to a site run by antigovernment dissidents, which said it could not verify information members had posted anonymously. Pictures on the site purporting to show hundreds of dead birds were grainy, and allegations that the site's "reporters" had been arrested were unconfirmed.

It's a roleplay event system, in which signed-up nations participate in global events. The first one we had was a transatlantic hurricane/storm that affected the Atlantic Federation, Galbadia, Ascadylea, Corraile, Fairview and Llithustania.

In may of 2011, a new variety of flu was detected in Uroboria, where it seemed to be causing an unusually large number of deaths. Fear spread with the virus across continents and ocans, the Alliance Health Organization declared the H2N4. strain of flu to be the first alliance pandemic in 40 years. But as the number of cases rose, estimates of its lethality dropped sharply. Second wave of the virus came to China, a vaccine had been prepared, although it was initially in short supply. Cases are being seen in airports acrose AIN. Hiigara has already 121 documented cases and there are still fights to control it.

Although it is too early to write the obituary for flu, medical experts, already assessing how it was handled, have found that while luck played a part, as still not many countries have seen cases of the flu.

The outbreak highlighted many national weaknesses: old, slow vaccine technology; too much reliance on foreign vaccine factories; some major hospitals pushed to their limits by a relatively mild epidemic. While the former proved highly transmissible in children, it was only rarely lethal, remained susceptible to drugs and has not thus far mutated into an unpredictable monster. Vaccine supply is still a big problem.

It is now clear that this is the least lethal modern pandemic. The flu appears to kill about one of every 2,000 people who get it, Syldavian researchers say. (Cattalian researchers found half that death rate.) By contrast, the Spanish flu of 1918 killed about 50 of every 2,000, and the 1957 and 1968 pandemics killed about 4 of every 2,000.
