Thanks,
Forth, Thought it would be funny to do something random like that.
Daniel, thanks
Gregor, none of those horrible Chilli Cheese ones
Thomas, They're corn chips and that's a pic of them above that gregor did. I guess they don't sell those at a grocery store near you?

What is a corn chip?
What is a grocery store?
One is greatly confused by this American terminology.

Re: Meridianian Nationalists and the World
I know they have Tesco and Sainsbury's over in Britain, that's what we call those here
A corn chip is similar in nature to a potato chip or "crisp", they are both fried, however a corn chip is rather rectangular in shape compared to the oval or circular shape of a potato chip. Corn Chips are thicker and less salty than Potato Chips aswell. They are also slightly darker.

Often, aside from Tortilla Chips, a variant of Corn Chips, Corn Chips are simply called "Frito's" because they are so synonymous. They are like Kleenex tissues.

Oh. So you call supermarkets... grocery stores?
And corn chips are like fatter versions of what we call crisps?
Yeh, your joke really doesn't work with England.

Re: Meridianian Nationalists and the World
We call them supermarkets too, there's a few different names. It's less common practice to call them supermarkets. I'll be honest, i'm not that familiar with the mundane activities of the rest of the world, but I'm more knowlegable than most here. A few weeks ago my history teacher was talking about the difference between the US and UK and asks students to do random things in british terminology and noone really had any idea what he was talking about like...
"Bring the Lorry around front, please" Even though I think he got the exact definition of Lorry incorrect, calling it a Truck. Noone had any idea.

Re: Meridianian Nationalists and the World
Funny thing is we would understand most of your language because we get so many US imports and institutions setting up here. The book I'm reading at the moment is in English US, didn't even bother to use the actual English of the country it's sold in.

It's just that USA are more close to their German origins while Britain is closer to it's French origins
