Arcacia to leave AIN

PROVIDENCE - The Arcacian government, in consultation with the Lycanthian government, has today decide that both Arcacia and Lycanthia will resign from the Alliance of Independent Nations.

A meeting of the Round Table will be held this week to decide on the date. Three possible dates are being discussed - July 22, October 10 and December 31. The Round Table, made up of the President, Vice President, Ministers, Speaker of the Senate, Chief Justice of the High Court, district and territorial governors and the President of Lycanthia, will make their decision by the end of the meeting on Friday.

Speculation is rife that the earlier of the three dates will be chosen, however a government spokesperson has said that it is equally possible that Arcacia will stay with the AIN until the end of the year, with October 10 reserved for an early pull-out if Providence's bid for the November Simlympics is unsuccessful. Arcacia is expected to take a diminished role and the government has stated that Arcacia will not be seeking to host any more AIN events.

Sad news. Will we know why on Friday?

Firstly, we would like to thank Tirnreich for the honour it has bestowed on us.

The decision on the final date will be made on Friday. We have to wait for the Governor of Saint Vincent to fly up and the President of Lycanthia also. Details of the decision will be posted in this thread once they come to hand. A full statement of withdrawal will only be made on the day itself.

That's very sad. What made you do this? It's totally unexpected. (gee, all our members are leaving, one by one... )

We are loosing members, we should find some new SC4 Stars!

So far, from what I've observe, members who have left AIN are busy with real-life or new commitments in real-life. I doubt members would leave due to conflicts within AIN, whether it's a personal attack or just role-playing.

I believe Dan have to leave due to real-life commitment, so he probably have to think though carefully whether his real-life commitment will impact his commitment in AIN. After all, Dan is one of the ative members within AIN, and it's a great pleasure having him here.

It's not that bad. The LoN was everybody. This is only three people.

The ones that are leaving are of value and importance... That;s like a talent drain.

It only seems like everyone because it's two of our best members that are leaving.
