Re: Declined: Full Membership | New Chandler
Must say good improvements!
The industrial area looks great! Where'd you get those retaining walls?
The road modifications: on a few of your Jr App pics, I saw some dead ends where you could have easily connected to another road, just an fyi.

If that was the sutcco-houses, they couldn't have been connected. Just an FYI. Is it better?
Wacky, thats the Pearl River Tower. Try www.davidluart.com and go to the HTML site.
Geoff, what retaining walls are you referring to? The ones on the freeway or the ones on the Metro?
Also when does it go to voting or get a checklist or any of that cool stuff?

Full Membership Checklist
~ A minimum of ten in-game pictures of your nation
~ Before and After in-game pictures
~ Completion of the entire Junior Membership Checklist Essential Prerequisites
Once these issues have been addressed, the application will go to voting judged your Activeness, CJ Improvement, Quality of CJ Overall. The administrators will all post their Yes/No vote, and full members can also put forward their belief - if six full members say no, then it will be closed. You need at least 3 yes votes from the admin team for it to pass.
EDIT: Points One and Three changed to green.
EDIT 2: Point Two changed to green.

Re: Declined: Full Membership | New Chandler
It's one of the Prerequisites of the Full Membership checklist that you complete the Jr one as well, to basically try and get you to improve that list from when you applied 1 month+ ago.
We have a discussion thread open in the Debate Chamber for further Membership Reform, if you'd like to make a case to have it removed, you can.

So how do I need to improve if that list was still green from last time? Sorry I feel really dumbThomas wrote:It's one of the Prerequisites of the Full Membership checklist that you complete the Jr one as well, to basically try and get you to improve that list from when you applied 1 month+ ago.

Re: Declined: Full Membership | New Chandler
So you need to post all of this, some of which is necessary in the Full Membership checklist anyway.
You can also update it with new information such as a better population detail, a new flag and some new evidence that you've used less Maxis content, to show to the admins after you pass checklist that you have improved and your application is much stronger than when you first joined.
- Spoiler:
- A minimum of ten in-game pictures of your nation
A unique and realistic flag of your nation
A unique and realistic coat of arms for your nation
A map of your nation's location that does not overlap with an existing AIN nation and is realistic to your CJ style
A type of government that again matches your CJ style
A realistic size and population of your nation
No in-game UI
A reasonable ratio of custom content to maxis provided content (50/50 minimum), as that there is little repetition and a constant style of architecture
A detailed and realistic context (history) for your nation
The Network Addon Mod (NAM)

Oh gotchya.
Flag
Coat of Arms
Location (land was added on)
History...
“The area now recognized as New Chandler was first discovered in 1502 by Christopher Columbus. With little oversight from the Spanish Crown, The Royal Ashton Kingdom (or just 'Royal Ashton'), the name of the country from 1821 to 1896, declared independence with the rest of Middle America, and in 1851, was recognized as an independent country. The country had a hereditary kingdom government under the control of the De La Brea family out of the capital city, Ashton, until 1896, when Alejandro De La Brea III reformed the government into a more sophisticated republic. By then, the country was at the size it was today, even though over 60% of it was unexplored. The only cities in the Ashton Kingdom were Ashton, Roseburgh, and Chandler, and they were all somewhat far apart (Between Ashton and Chandler is now Andersen, between Roseburgh and Ashton is now Winchester, and between Roseburgh and Chandler is now La Brea). The country was renamed “New Chandler” after the first settlement, Chandler (now also renamed “New Chandler City”). New Chandler would make settlements in present-day Rockaway, Compton, and Sophanem in the first ten years of it being a Republic, and then, Chandler, Roseburgh, and Ashton would all be connected by other cities (see above). A road system in a perfect grid around the city (Google Earth Phoenix Arizona and you will know what that means) and a Subway system would help keep everything in the city connected as well. Over time, New Chandler would draw much international attention to itself as a tourist destination (New Chandler has thousands of hotels, and New Chandler Airways operates daily service to five continents), environmental standard-setter (New Chandler’s rainforests are protected, which is 30% of the country, and much of New Chandler's workforce uses the expansive subway system), and high-tech business hub (High-Tech industry around the country and seven cities with modern skyscrapers should prove this). New Chandler was also brought into the spotlight in 2010 when the host of AIN nation Petrova was decided in what was claimed as one of the best ISC sessions ever by SimSports."
Everything else (pictures, water mod, etc.) is above

Updated checklist - for the Before/After, post your original version of those buildings next to the highway above the new version, which will show an exact improvement. Then we can go to voting.

Re: Declined: Full Membership | New Chandler
Updated the checklist. Congratulations on passing the first stage, now the admins will judge you on Activeness, CJ Improvement and Quality of CJ Overall.
I'll go first. This is mostly judged on your City Notebook, however the forums in general are slightly looked at.
Activeness
Lots of updates on your CJ, and you're starting to do role playing such as Embassies and Diplomacy threads. You post in many of the other CJs and are a warm member of the community.
Yes.
CJ Improvement
Definitely signs of improvement, the detail is improving and you are combining eye candy and realism very well now. I really like how far you've come in just over a month, especially in terms of custom content.
Yes.
Quality of CJ Overall
The photoshopping is stunning, and you manage to combine different districts and a wide variety of development styles to great effect. Your level of dedication to the journal is very high, and you use real life locations for inspiration which is a positive and clever thing to do.
Yes.
Summary: YES from me!

Just curious Thomas, you said at least three.... does that mean the magic number is 3, or is it 4? I've heard "at least" a few different ways

It's three minimum, because there's 6 admins.
