Mile End Murder Mystery
THE SCENE -
A man is found dead in his own backyard in the Redding City suburb of Mile End. Police are baffled. The coroner rules that the cause of death was a heart attack, yet the man was in his 30s and in perfect health. The man was found fully clothed, and has no injuries except a small puncture wound between two toes on his left foot which was discovered after the coroner removed his shoes.
THE SUSPECTS -
The Wife: A quietly spoken, weak-willed diabetic. Neighbours reported that the couple frequently argued. Stands to collect $1 million in life insurance.
The Brother: The consummate bully, made the victim's life a living hell as they grew up. Stands to collect the dead man's share of the family inheritance.
The Business Partner: Had known the victim for 5 years. They were co-owners of a successful finance company in Redding City. Stands to inherit full ownership of the business.
The Best Friend: Known the victim since childhood. They were Best Man at each other's weddings.
HOW TO PLAY -
You must solve the mystery using the clues that you have been given. You may ask 1 question at a time. Questions must have a "yes" or "no" answer.
Once you think you've solved it, post what you think happened. Remember, you must outline WHO did it, HOW they did it and WHY they did it.
If you are wrong, you must let someone else have a go before you can post another answer.
