I love the daytime images, but I'm not too sure about the night time one. I know Moscow is becoming a bit like that, but why would Syldavia have a reasonably big CBD?

It's not big. It is due to the Asian competition from Japan, China and the two Koreas, which have pushed Syldavia having a center of commerce such as Vladivostok.

And since Syldavia has a population of only 9 million, I doubt a highrise commercial centre is actually needed, especially considering that Syldavia is hardly compact and small.

Well if Vladivostok is free from Russia, well its the largest port in this area in area. The city will become in 2012 the "Big Vladivostok" area, it fast growing and it is one of the most importened area of industry, political and social areas. So it is possible that Vladivostok if free and all good luck that it become a very modern city and quick growing economy in the region. And historicly this is very importened city. And in 1922, even being the part of short lived republic.

Nice update! I would like to see more from Klow and I recommend the Euro Road Texture Mod to add more realism as an East Asian Cities.
