Re: Centreburg
I didn't see Sara for the entire week.
Perhaps this was a good thing. I couldn't find it in me to face her at all, especially after what had happened the week before. I always found some excuse to avoid going near the office where she worked, and tried to avoid the places where she would hang out.
Taking advantage of the weekend, I tried to calm myself down and even forget about her. I took a drive, even though I had no destination, nor did I have any particular route. I just drove and drove, driving past towns...
The industrial areas... I guess it wasn't very calming, but it sort of reflected the mood I was in.
Driving on, away from the busy and rather polluted industrial regions into the countryside, where the pines and greenery where much more therapeutical.
Finally, I ended up in the heart of Corraile's agricultural regions. I had little intention of turning back for today. I just wanted to get away from everything, all the problems, all the stress.

Wow! That was stunning Kevin - shows how diverse Corraile is and with the narrator, it is 100 times better - you feel as though you're there.
Superb.

Re: Centreburg
I woke up, not really knowing where I actually was. Looking around the room, I finally remembered I was at a Holiday Inn along the road. All I had to do was remember where I was exactly.
North Centreburg, famous for its seafront, ice-cream, trams and relaxed way of life. North Centreburg was like the suburbs and the city all rolled up into one. Still feeling a little groggy, I was hesitant about driving, but I still went ahead with it.
It wasn't long till I reached the southern region of the Centreburg Metropolitan Area. This was inner suburbia, home to the wealthy and sometimes famous. These houses were built back in the early 1900s for the average middle-income family, but the growth of the city made these houses prized possessions.
South Rhodes was one of the closest suburbs to Centreburg Downtown. Much of its economy is dependent on hospitality. The fact that there are dozens of hotels in the city-centre proved as such.
Finally, I left the town (which was actually the one I lived in) for the city.

Amazing job as usual Kevin! I love the story line!
Just wondering if you can post a region view of Centreburg? It would be insane!

As requested by Julien, the region view of the Centreburg Metropolitan Region (still a work in progress, actually), with tags to represent the location of certain areas or landmarks

That's JUST Centreburg? Woah! Now I see why it's so good. I am very jealous, Kevin.

Great region view! I guess you'll now developp the south?
And usually, if it's an airport in Urban areas in North America, there's golfs close to it

Re: Centreburg
"Oh I'm sorry for that." I quickly picked up the files strewn all over the floor.
But the moment I looked up, I got the shock of my life.
"Hi Mike. Long time no see," Sara's voice sounded melodic, like an angel calling out to me.
"Uh, hi," I turned away, my cheeks reddening with embarrassment.
"I think we need to talk."
"Um, okay..." Reluctantly, we both left for the coffee joint (a Starbucks, actually), down in the lobby.
So we talked. The sun began to set over Centreburg, but I was too busy to even notice it.
The stress. The anguish. The pain. She'd said she'd forgiven me for all the things that I might have done "inappropriately", but she had also taken the time to find a new "guy to hang out with", or in plain language, a male partner. It was as though an arrow pierced through my heart.
I only binge drink when I'm really upset, and this sudden surge of pain and bitterness called for excessive amounts of alcohol. The local pub, near where I lived, was quite busy for a Thursday night.
In a drunken stupor, I which I couldn't even remember where I actually was, I got into the car, forgot to buckle up, and just left like that.
The sound of a horn, the flash of the lights, and the sudden screeching sound of metal on metal. And then my life, my childhood, began to flash ahead of me. Then I lost my senses.

Re: Centreburg
I read about it in the newspaper. For some reason, a little sense of embarrassment and shame crept up my spine.
...he was believed to have driven drunk and crashed into the home of Leroy Breckitt, setting fire to some bushes in the garden, which eventually spread to the house itself...
A knock on the door, before it opened.
Her name was Jenna, or so it said on the name tag. She wasn't exactly very beautiful, but she the kind of face that could perk you up in an instant, as though her face had been made out of sunshine. I couldn't help but smile.
"Feeling better, Mr Hamilton?" her smile radiating from every crease of her mouth.
"Call me Mike," I sort of felt disgusted with myself, for even trying to flirt at this time.
"Well, Mike, the doctor will be in in around 20 minutes. In the meantime, do you need anything?"
"No, I'm fine. Thanks." I sort of restrained myself.
Soon, night fell. Centreburg General Hospital was close to the Downtown Area. With the lights twinkling in the distance, I slowly drifted off to another night's rest...

That night shot is incredible. The colour tones are spectacular - Corraile isn't the biggest country but it is varied in density and you manage to get every image perfect.
